Comparison

GA4 collects what happened. Micromark tells you what it means.

They are not the same tool, and Micromark is not trying to replace GA4. One is measurement infrastructure. The other is the verdict that infrastructure never gives you.

When each one makes sense

Reach for GA4

When you need to know what actually happened: which pages people saw, where they came from, where they dropped, how many converted. GA4 is free, mature, and the closest thing the industry has to a default. If you do not have it installed, install it — Micromark is not an argument against measurement.

Reach for Micromark

When you are staring at the numbers and still cannot tell whether they are good. A 2.1% conversion rate is meaningless in isolation — it is strong for enterprise sales-led, weak for self-serve product-led. Micromark holds your figure against companies at your stage, in your industry, in your geography, and returns a written answer instead of another chart.

You do not have to switch anything

Micromark reads numbers you already have — most of them sitting in GA4 right now. There is no tag to install, no data to migrate, no integration to maintain. You bring four or five figures to a question; the Mark comes back in about two minutes. Your analytics stack does not change.

Questions people ask

Is Micromark a replacement for Google Analytics 4?

No. GA4 is measurement infrastructure — it collects behavioural data from your site and app. Micromark is a diagnostic layer that reads numbers you already track and returns one written verdict. Most people running Micromark keep GA4 exactly as it is.

Does Micromark connect to my GA4 account?

Not currently. Micromark asks you for the handful of numbers a given question actually needs, rather than ingesting your full analytics stack. That keeps it fast, keeps your data with you, and means you can run an engine in about two minutes without an integration step.

What does Micromark do that GA4 does not?

Two things. It holds your numbers against benchmarks segmented by company stage, industry, geography and go-to-market motion — GA4 has no benchmark layer. And it resolves the comparison into a single written answer with a recommended next action, rather than leaving interpretation to you.

Can I use both together?

That is the intended pattern. Use GA4 to know what happened. Use Micromark when you need to know whether what happened is good, and what to do next.

Can I grow acquisition profitably right now?
